1. Services

European Moving provides international removal, packing, storage, vehicle transport, and customs clearance services from the United Kingdom to European destinations. All services are subject to availability and these terms.

2. Quotations & Booking

All quotations are provided free of charge and remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A booking is confirmed upon receipt of the agreed deposit (typically 25% of the total cost). Prices are fixed once confirmed in writing and include all standard charges.

3. Payment

A deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due before the collection date unless alternative payment terms have been agreed. We accept bank transfer and card payments.

4. Insurance

All moves include comprehensive goods-in-transit insurance up to £50,000. Higher-value cover is available upon request. Claims must be submitted in writing within 14 days of delivery. The customer must report visible damage at the point of delivery.

5. Customs & Documentation

We manage all standard customs documentation. The customer is responsible for providing accurate personal information and residency documentation required for customs clearance. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete customer-provided information are not the responsibility of European Moving.

6. Cancellation & Postponement

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled collection date receive a full deposit refund. Between 7 and 14 days, 50% of the deposit is refunded. Less than 7 days, the deposit is forfeited. Postponements are subject to availability and may incur re-scheduling charges.

7. Prohibited Items

We cannot transport hazardous materials, flammable liquids, explosives, perishable goods, illegal substances, or live animals. The customer is responsible for declaring all items accurately. Items requiring special permits (e.g., firearms, medications) must be discussed in advance.

8. Liability

European Moving will take all reasonable care in handling your belongings. Liability is limited to the insurance cover provided unless additional cover has been arranged. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, road closures, customs delays, strikes, or force majeure events).

9. Storage

Storage charges are billed weekly in advance. Goods in storage are covered by our standard insurance policy. We reserve the right to dispose of goods that remain in storage for more than 12 months without payment or communication from the customer, after providing 30 days written notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
